Protecting and Coating Parts of a Large Structure
Request
To coat various parts of a large cart without damaging or altering components and surface finishes that are sensitive to heat.
Solution
To address this request, we needed to avoid modifying the existing production schemes for the product, as it seemed necessary to handle the parts to be coated separately. Aiming to prevent difficulties and increased management costs, we developed a new technique that allowed us to create sleeves that could be mounted onto the piece later, avoiding direct processing on the cart itself. This was achieved by designing equipment that ensured the parts were perfectly compatible with the components to be coated.
Client benefits
Thanks to this new technique, the parts could be assembled onto the cart without altering the construction criteria. By avoiding the need to separate the parts for coating, we prevented an increase in production costs. Additionally, by not heating the components to be coated, we avoided potential damage to heat-sensitive parts, and most importantly, we spared the client from costly material handling, significantly reducing the cost of the finished product.
